Biography
Dr Alexander Nagrebetsky is a 2008 honours graduate of the O. Bogomolets National Medical University (Kyiv, Ukraine). He has completed his first year of clinical residency in neurological surgery in 2009 at the Institute of Neurosurgery in Kyiv. Working in a tertiary care institution he witnessed the disadvantages of an over-specialised healthcare system and became interested in primary care and effective organisation of healthcare systems. This interested resulted in a successful application for an MSc course in Global Health Science in the Division of Public Health and Primary Care at the University of Oxford. After completion of the masters programme Dr Nagrebetsky continued to work on the topic of his MSc research as a clinical researcher in the Primary Care Clinical Trials Unit. Currently he is involved in the analysis of the extended Support and Advice for Medication Study (SAMS) and the albumin-creatinine ratio (ACR) pilot project as well as coordination of the Medication Adjustment with Telehealth Support for Diabetes Trial (MATS).
