José is reading for a DPhil in Primary Health Care at the Oxford School of Medical Sciences. Before joining the Department in October 2010 he worked for the NHS for about 6 years in Public Health at Birmingham Primary Care Trust (HoB tPCT). After his undergraduate education in Spain prior working in Public Health, he completed a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Public Health in England and a Postgraduate Course in Education in Sweden. After his work in Public Health at HoB tPCT José  returned to Spain to do an MBA.  He then re-joined the NHS to work in Practice Based Commissioning.

José is currently working for the Department of Primary Health Care as a research student. His research interests are Clinical Epidemiology and Health Services research.
