Key Research Areas
Early diagnosis and follow up of cancers especially colorectal cancer, including a trial of different follow-up strategies for patients after treatment for colorectal cancer, a study of current follow up practice for prostate cancer and a study investigating th ehealth care needs of long term survivors of adult cancer.
Management of acute conjunctivitis in children including a trial of antibiotic treatment now published.
Biography
Peter graduated from Queens’ College, Cambridge and St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical School and has been a GP Principal in Benson, Oxfordshire since 1982.
He is a member of the NCRI primary care clinical studies development group and a member of the National Cancer Survivors Initiative workstream for Research. He is co-author of Practical Genetics for Primary Care (winner of the BMA book award for primary care) and winner of the RCGP Research Paper of the Year in 2006.
