Health Services and Policy Research (HSPR) Group
About
The Health Services and Policy Research (HSPR) Group is part of the Department of Primary Care Health Science. The members of the HSPR group undertake basic, applied and translational health services research with a primary care focus. The group has collaborative projects with other Primary Care academic departments in the UK in the NIHR School for Primary Care Research, the Department of Health funded Quality and Outcomes Policy Research Unit, the Centre for Health Service Economics and Organisation, and with several international academic departments and research institutes in the Europe and Australia.
Mission
To contribute to the improvement of the organisation and delivery of health care nationally and internationally through the pursuit of excellence in research and postgraduate teaching, and through informing policy and practice in these areas.
Vision
The HSPR aims to establish itself as a recognised group in research in applied health services focussing on primary care, with the aim of informing policy, and conducting work of the highest standard. Our research will be rigorous, innovative, and focussed on issues relevant to the organisation and delivery of healthcare in the UK and abroad.
