Online Graduate Supervision Reporting System

From the 2008/09 academic year all postgraduate research & postgraduate students in the Department of Primary Health Care will be invited to contribute to the termly reporting cycle, with the launch of the new On-line Graduate Supervision System (GSS) across the collegiate University.

The Graduate Supervision System will capture information reported by both student and supervisor(s) with details relevant to each student only being available to his or her supervisory team.

The Graduate Supervision System will invite you to log on in Week 6 of each term and create a self-assessment report. You will be prompted to list completed training and training which is still required, as well as provide a comprehensive overview of your progress. You will also be able to set a flag to indicate if you have concerns with your progress, and this will be highlighted to your Supervisor, Director of Graduate Studies, and College Adviser.

Your Supervisor(s) will complete a report on your progress in Week 8, and this will be available for you to view, as well as your Director of Graduate Studies, your College Adviser and the Graduate and MSc in Psychological  Research Administrator.

Whilst it is not mandatory for students to complete a self-assessment report, it is strongly recommended and encouraged by the department.  It is a useful tool to reflect on your achievements and provides an opportunity to communicate any concerns to your teaching staff.
